Hardlife Mudzingwa of Tajamuka Finance Committee calls on Zimbabweans to join #no2bondnotes demo 3 August
“We are calling on all Zimbabweans who had the horrors of cholera in 2008 as a result of the failing of social services delivery caused by the bearer cheques of that time. We are also calling on Zimbabweans who are engineers who lost their money through the banks. We are appealing to teachers who were withdrawing five dollars as a salary because of the archaic monetary policies by then. We are appealing to all to join our demonstration on 3 August where we are demonstrating against bond notes.
“I think it’s public knowledge for all and sundry that the archaic monetary policy in this country envisaged through the introduction of bond notes will bring back the challenges we had back then. On the 3 August, the march will be peaceful. We will move from Julius Nyerere to Parliament and present our petition there to the relevant authorities. We are calling on all people from Mabvuku, from Glen View, from Mbare, from Highfields, all our structures to come out in full force and support this worthy cause.”
